Kumbali Country Lodge, owned by Guy and Maureen Pickering, situated on a 650ha working farm, is an exclusive and private lodge with conference centre only 10 minutes from Lilongwe City Centre and 25 minutes from the International airport. There are 16 thatched suites. The spacious and uniquely designed Executive and Deluxe Suites are en suite also offering internet, tea and coffee facilities, TV and private verandah.
This beautiful double storey lodge centre with bar and dining room offers a varied menu of excellent cuisine complemented by fresh vegetables and dairy produce from the farm. Upstairs, fine dining for up to 16 guests with crystal and silver may be booked for special occasions. Services offered include airport transfers, business centre, car hire and town tours, plus general advice and support while in Malawi. A conference centre caters for conferences/workshops, private dinners and cocktail parties.
The naturally forested estate is wonderful for walks, jogging, bird watching and nature appreciation. Farming activities include maize and dairy with an emphasis on community development together with Nature’s Gift Permaculture Centre. The Kumbali Cultural Village displays traditional Malawian Arts including dance, music, and crafts. Traditional Huts in the Village offer accommodation and Malawian cuisine.
